EU Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EEC, Article 4.7 Exemptions: Screening of the use in Bulgaria.
The project was assigned from the European Commission to a consortium, led by WRc (UK). Alpheus Ltd. was subcontracted for the screening of large infrastructure projects in Bulgaria in regard to WFD Article 4.7 exemptions.

„Introducing of a nature-friendly farming in Natura 2000 areas in Bulgaria” (2007 – 2009).
The project is funded by Dutch MATRA Programme and managed by Wageningen International. Alpheus Ltd. has developed model management and development plan for the two project target areas (Natura 2000 zones Kresna and Pirin, Obnova - Karaman Dol and Nikopolsko plato).

Preliminary assessment of the national reports for the implementation of Art. 8 and Art. 14 of the Water Framework Directive;
The project was assigned from the European Commission to a consortium, led by WRc (UK). Alpheus Ltd. was involved as a subcontractor for the assessment of Bulgarian national reports for the WFD implementation regarding the development of monitoring programmes and the public consultations.

“Conservation of river ecosystems and sustainable flood risk management”, (2006 – 2007)
The company implemented the project management and expert assessments.

“Living Rivers – Conservation and restoration of riparian habitats in Maritza and Tundja river basins” (2006 – 2007).
Alpheus Ltd. implemented the project management and expert assessments as a subcontractor to the main project beneficiary – Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation.
